i picked up a tower and the video part of the board was not working so i bought a video card and put it in but that is not working either. what an i doing wrong......
how do i make it use the new video card.

Check the bios make sure it's set for pci-e or agp not onbroad graphics

First off stop buying used computers without first seeing if they work
Second you would have to turn off the on-board video on the computer to be able to use a video card
Third your power supply might not be able to handle the added video card
