Boar Bristle Brushes?
So I bought an Elegant 100% boar bristle paddle brush and it doesn't work with my hair as it doesn't penetrate through to my scalp. I also tried sectioning it and that didn't penetrate through unless I push really really hard down on my scalp. Am I missing something?
I bought a boar bristle brush that has relatively short bristles (a little less than 1 inch in length). Is it supposed to penetrate through and "massage my scalp" because some websites are saying that it is and others are saying that it's not and that it should just be distributing the oils down to the ends. Keep in mind my hair is short (shoulder length), wavy/straight, and is thick and coarse. What would you guys recommend?
I'm thinking about buying a boar bristle nylon mix brush. Would this have the same effects as the boar bristle brush (would it make it shiny, soft, etc.)?
Thank you!

Boar bristle brushes are not ment to actually brush. They distribute the oils in your hair all over. You comb or brush with a normal brush or comb first then use the hair brush to make it shines on the top and to move ur oils downward
