What's it like being in the National Guard?

Question

I'm 19, but I've heard being in the service is quite the experience. You see, my family on my dad's side is primarily a military family, I.e (The dad retired army veteran, the youngest son is in his late 20's In the national guard working as an RN, the daughter is going into the air force/national guard when she graduates college in December).
Is there sexy women you can meet?
Will they give you a car loan or financial aid?

I did 4 yrs active in the USAF.  After 12 months of tech school in avionics repair, I repaired those systems and many more on about 10 types of aircraft at 8 bases over half the world, had a heII of a great time.  Of course being in the military is not always a picnic, staying overseas makes it much much more fun.

yeah, you are 19 all right.  if you are worried about meeting sexy women, you are too immature for military service...sorry.

as far as a car loan - there are no 'gimmies' in life.  your ability to get a car loan is a lot like any other kind of loan:  what is your credit score?  credit rating?  what is your income to debt ratio?  what is your NET income?  Do you have debt?  how much debt?  is it in good standing?  is it well-managed?

welcome to the real world hero!  Heck, by 19 i had 2 college degrees, was within 3 months of my BSN and commission, had an Army commendation with 'V' for valor, a purple heart, and am tri-lingual.  and you are worried about meeting sexy women!
