i want to make a back up copy of win-8 for my own use if my pc crashes for good or HD dies-is this allowed and how do i do it.
can i make a copy of the recovery info on my external hard drive??
i have a terabyte HD so any size file will fit.
also what happens if my HD in the laptop dies. how do i load win-8 onto the new HD?

Don't know? My windows 8.1 here installed a recovery on a partition on the hard drive that I can use to restore back to factory settings. So it says it can't make a recovery disc. Because it says to use that.
