Is Kobe hurting his legacy now that he's older, not winning, and not playing as efficiently as he once did?

It seems like everyone wants to bash Kobe and call him trash because his team is losing and he is really the only scoring option. When you talk about the greats of the game no one wants to include Kobe but if you go back 5 years ago people were calling him top 5 to ever play, etc.

Is this how Kobe will end his career being know as a bum?

Ridiculous...no,anybody with knowledge of basketball history and Kobe's career is not gonna judge his ability when he is in all reality being guarded by all five players on the defensive end...Lin is a terrible NBA starting PG...I'm surprised he doesn't get more flack. Hill has been the only other decent option on offense...meaning help comes from every help defender relentlessly.

I didn't watch the game...but since he shot 1-14,I'm guessing Kaehi Leonard was guarding him? Possibly the best perimeter defender in the NBA...and the fact is Kobe is not primed...its just that simple...no he's not the same...no it shouldn't hurt his legacy...it doesn't in my eyes. The Lakers are the only team I can think of off the top of my head that doesn't have a least two superstars...or at least two dynamic players...that doesn't work in today's NBA...it didn't even work when he was scoring 35 ppg for a whole season.

Kobe is the 2nd greatest shooting guard of all time, period.

    Kobe was always a bum.

Never clutch, look at the numbers, in reality, Kobe's clutchness was always just a myth.

He never played basketball the right way. The fact that he took part on some very good teams is a testament to Phil Jackson and the dedication to professionalism of his team mates.

He was never top 5, that was all just marketing propaganda and people believing it.

I had him in the top 15 all time 5 years ago. That hasn't changed for me. He has tremendous skill and in human potential, but it chooses to play selfish basketball. That's way he's a bum and he was always a bum that had a great ride under some great leadership.

Kobe isn't hurting his legacy any more then Jordan did when he finished up his career with the Wizards. Fans remember great players as they were in their prime, not like they were at the tail end of their career.

I like to think his legacy is set in stone from his prime years along with shaq, MJ, and the other greats that ran their careers out a tad to long

He is somewhat tainting his legacy. Will he be known as a bum? No...at this point he will still go down as the best since Jordan IMO and is UNQUESTIONABLY a first-ballot hall of famer

No. All he is doing is increasing his career totals, which is going to increase his legacy.
