Frequent fliers - do you recommend TSA Precheck or Global Entry as an effective way to get through security more easily?
I'm considering paying the fees and going through the process to get pre-screened for airport security. Can someone recommend which program is better. I travel through airports about 7-8 times a year, mostly within the US.

Global Entry is for entering the US. Pre is for flying within the US.
If you join Global Entry, you can use Pre. You don't apply to it separately.
Not all airlines work with Pre. You can find a list online, or you'll figure it out on routes you commonly travel.
I like it. It makes going through security much easier.

I thought TSA checks were pretty fast at most airports. You will spend more time applying for it than you spend in line.
