I need to retrieve a Q that was innocently but wrongly?

censored for violation of guidlines. I wanted to provide advice about guidelines and regs to help the "trusted" objector how better to determine true breaches and avoid punishing best answers. But the Q is remove even from my Q & A profilee. Who do I contact to retrieve the Q to make my response as simple as possible? Thanks. PS> I prefer to make the response privately rather than publicly, lest another posting be misapprehanded or feelings get inadvertently hurt maybe.

Thanks for those efforts free of rant and self flattery. Yes, the question was provided for a time but then disappeared and, because it had been removed, even I could not go back. But I did manage to retrieve it by hook and crook and attempt to file the appeal...I thing...because, as seems to happen so often, one does not necessarily get served the page one requests, if any at all. I feel that the appeal should result in an overturn of a complaint made in haste and emotion based. But now I have to ascertain if the appeal I sent was even received, because it was not acknowleged...but that could just be SOP, as it might be on some sites? So best answer to both of you to share but John won the coin toss.

You do not contact anyone. You are not the authority here. Yahoo felt it inappropriate or against policy and they are the authority to determine that. It is THEIR website, not yours. If they offered an appeal, then appeal. If they did not and you disagree with the removal, too bad. That's life when you do not own the website and have no rights. In fact, you have no right of expectation. It is all up to them.

They usually provide a copy of the question in the violation.
