Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature? Agree?

Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature? The heart of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people.

The criticism of religion is, therefore, in embryo, the criticism of that vale of tears of which religion is the halo.

No. Criticism of religion is recognition of a placebo for what it is. A fake cure for an imaginary ailment.

Religion is not the sigh of the oppressed. It is the whip of the oppressor. It is not the heart and soul of the heartless, soulless world. It is the loophole that rationalizes the prejudices of the faithful. It IS the opium of the masses. And just like opium, it feeds you a beautiful fantasy, as it corrupts you from within. And like any drug addiction, the addicts are willing to hurt you if you try to deny them their blissful delusions.
