WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF THANKSGIVING IT IS MY FAVORITE HOLIDAY?

Being together as a family is my favorite part of Thanksgiving and also my sister's birthday is always around Thanksgiving.

I usually go to the parade in downtown Chicago, but when it is too cold I watch it on TV and the old cartoons they play after it. This year I'm going to see Mokingjay part one in the morning and celebrating and eating with my family later on. I always plan fun Thanksgiving games with my family like Thanksgiving charades and pin the feather on the turkey.

Seeing how the babies have grown, spending time with my nieces and nephews and siblings. Eating of course. We try to get as many people as possible, after the first turkey assault, to go out for a walk. This year it's at my sister's and she's got a playground a couple blocks away so the little kids can be taken there to play and burn off some of their energy, then they conk out and we go home and the adults can eat again while the babies are sleeping. The football games are on the tv but no one is so thoroughly committed to watching them that they aren't willing to go out to the playground. But, to be totally honest, getting home after it's over and settling down with my bag of leftovers is the very best.

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday too.

I love cooking & entertaining, I love the whole autumn theme (sights, sounds, smells of autumn-- so warm and comforting). I love spending so much time with my family, cooking & preparing to eating leftovers all weekend.

I guess if I have to choose a highlight, it's us all gathering around to see the parade.

Making the meal is my favorite part. I invite anyone who wants to come over.

My Bears will be playing on Thanksgiving.

Ha...I agree with iron-side. I really, really like the tradition...turkey, drinking, rum cake, football, and plenty of holiday cheer(s)...lol

I so wish it was a Thanksgiving weekend...

Everyone is generally in a good mood and happy. People are more relaxed and chatty.

And of course a slice of punkin pie with a dollop of whipped cream on it !
