on my computer I have a 186gb OS and a 250GB mass storage, both came with the computer and are internal the problem is my computer is storing everything to the OS and it has never used the mass storage for anything... I am wondering how I can make my computer utilize the second hard disk to help improve my computer because frankly it is bothering me that all that memory is sitting there unused

the easiest way to put that space to use is to move your "My Documents" folder over to it. I don't think you can just do a drag and drop of the folder. So search out the correct procedure on the web. FWIW: I used my 2nd drive to hold my pictures and music.

Move the "My Documents" folder to your second drive. It's the largest folder on your computer.
