Do you think Piojo will take some players to both the Copa Oro and Copa America?

It's been said recently how Piojo is going to create two different selecciones for both tournaments, but do you guys think he should take some players to both? If so, which ones?

In 2007, Hugo Sanchez called up many players to play in both the Copa Oro AND Copa America such as Guardado, Cuau, etc. I believe Mexico played the Copa Oro Final on the 24th of June and had to play their first game on the Copa America on the 27th or 28th of that month if I'm not wrong.. And the same case is presented this time where the Copa America finished around three days before the Copa Oro starts.

Do you think teams such as Real Sociedad, Porto, Villarreal etc. will put restrictions towards allowing their players to play both tournaments?

Probably just 1 or 2 players that are from the liga mexicana. I remember back in 2011 giovani dos santos played copa oro and copa america, but he only played both tournemonts pretty much due to Tottenham having him as a reserve. And I remember last year raul jimenez played confederations cup and copa oro and then went back to liga mx action with america. I hope the copa america isn't a distraction because it's hosted first than the copa oro.

Players who dont normally get time with their club in europe might be easier to take. As of right now, the players struggling for minutes, that might be released for bth tournaments would be diego reyes, raul jimenez, and maybe even ochoa. But all these guys have a possibility of changing club teams soon and might be regulars in their team by the time next summer comes around. Im sure some liga mx players will be able to go aswell

  • Mexico (and also Jamaica) aren't a part of Conmebol so FIFA can't obligate clubs to release Concacaf players for Copa America, a Conmebol competition. Also I doubt any European club will allow their players to play the whole summer and not have a break. The European season is long and brutal and clubs want their players well rested before the start of the season. Maybe Liga MX clubs will allow their players to play in both tournaments but for the European based players they will only play in one tournament.

No because they need a break
