Could i press charges?

alright so i was dating this girl, and for about 6 months i was staying at her house, well my car engine blew and i was forced to tow it to her house where i was living at the time, well a few months later(i still hadnt finished putting in my new engine) i caught her cheating on me so i moved out, i didnt get paid till that weekend so i told her i would be back at the end of the week to tow my car, i left that day and was told by a friend that night that she posted on facebook a picture of them towing my car, i called her to ask and she didnt answer, well when i went over there my car was gone, and i could not get ahold of her, finally i did and she told me she had my car towed to an impound lot, i called them and they said they needed to charge me $200 per day plus $160 tow fee, so by that weekend it was over $900 and i couldnt afford it, so i never was able to get my own car back with my new engine sitting in it. since i lived there for 6 months cant sue or press charges for stealing my property??
