can someone explain this situation to me?

I dont want any solutions, i just want to know how i can find the position of an object attached to a spring when the kinetic energy is equal to the potential energy? How would you set up an equation?

    Set the potential energy of the spring at compression equal to the velocity of the object when it leaves the spring.

    the force from the spring must equal the force of gravity to be in equilibrium
