Traveling overseas?

I'm going overseas for 19 days in total...technically 2 of those days will be spent flying...anyways I was curious as to if you think 1,500 is enough spending money to bring?

I'm going to Seoul South Korea

And Tokyo Japan.

I'm not a HUGE spender most of it will go to food and then a Little bit to items I can bring back.

I know I should plan for extra expenses like cabs and random things we go to like a museum(which we will be going to!)

Personally I think it's not, but it really depends on your habits. I don't know about Seoul but in Japan you can probably get by with fairly cheap food, especially if you eat convenience store meals and take the time to find the little out of the way places with meals of 1000 yen or less (ask your hotel or hostel for recommendations and maps). If you're not very spendy otherwise it should be fine.

If your accommodation is already paid, you can manage it with $1500.
