How similar were the cavemen to us today in their thoughts and feelings?
Long time ago, no technology such us today, but how different were they from us in the modern world in how they thought, and what they felt?

"Cavemen" is not a scientific term. Human evolution proceeded for a very long time, from very primitive forms like "Lucy" (anthropithecine) up through many different species like Erectus, Habilus, Robustus, Neanderthal.... All those previous forms which predated our species, Homo Sapiens Sapiens.
Some of these extinct species lived in caves when necessary, but most were wandering hunter-gatherers. Advanced species like "Cro Magnon" (Sapiens Archaic) would have been pretty much indistinguishable from modern humans.
We know that early humans who did the cave art in France and other sites knew about art, anatomy, music... And they buried their dead in ritual manners.... They would have been very much like us.
