I m looking for a tripod that will be good to use outside in snow. It will hold a canon eos rebel t5 or a gopro. Preferably >$50?

I'm glad you have the sense to ask for greater than $50. There are no good ones less than $50.

The most minimally adequate is probably the Slik Sprint Pro II three-way pan head. About $90. An earlier version was used for this shot.

There are more expensive ones that have better steadiness in wind and can support a heftier telephoto. With my 18-200mm zoomed to longer focal lengths it was a bit tricky to aim to correct for sagging when locking down for shots like this.

Manfrotto makes amazing tripods without a huge price tag.
