How's this for a scenario?

All season long pundits have assumed that the SEC would likely have 2 teams in the top 4 and speculated which of the big 5 conferences would be shut out. Ok, consider this possibility:

If both Alabama and Mississippi St lose today, the SEC could be the only big 5 conference with a 2 loss champ. Florida St is still undefeated, Ohio St and Oregon have one loss going into their championship games, and the Big 12 has 2 one loss teams.

So what are the chances the SEC is the odd man out, particularly if Mizzou scores the upset in their championship game?

The SEC would be the one that could have a 2-loss champ sneak in, but you're going to need some help. Now, Ohio State might be in trouble as they didn't roll Michigan and will start their 3rd string QB for the Big Ten title game. Oregon has to play an Arizona team that beat them in the regular season. TCU should win out next week against Iowa State, Baylor might have an issue as they have Kansas State next week. Florida State needs to win out to make it.

It's possible BUT I think it will only happen if Alabama loses to Auburn today too. If Alabama loses today but ends up winning the SEC, I think the committee will give them the nod
