If I have two OS s can i just delete the other one im not using by selecting the files and deleting them?

    Don't erase files - waste of time. Delete the partition - but make very sure that you are deleting the correct one.

    Pro tip: if the one that is left is Windows, you may very well need to run the "Restore MBR" procedure. Google for instructions.

    2 OS's mean 2 logical drives. . just move what's important to the drive with the preferred OS and then format the drive of the non-preferred OS

    Unfortunately, no. I no absolutely nothing about Windows, so if you use Windows, ignore this. Mac OS hides all of the important system files from the user, so in order to erase your unused OS you would have to discard the one you are currently using and reinstall it.

    There is a program called "easy bcd" that will do it for you. If it still exists, look for it and download it.
