What counts as "immediate danger?" (For therapy)?

There's almost always a rule for therapy that "a therapist has to tell parents or a psychiatrist if you are in immediate danger to yourself or others."

What counts as immediate danger?

Like, if I tell a therapist about my suicidal thoughts, what would most likely happen?

Self harm and suicidal thoughts/attempts do count as immediate danger. They feel youre dangerous to yourself and what will happen is your therapist can call a treatment center and call your parents if needed. They are there to help so don't be scared to tell them your true thoughts.
