    I am having a hard time with this one because I don't even understand how silver (I) oxide can exist. How can Ag have a +1 charge when O has a -2 charge? Doesn't it have to be silver (II) oxide so that the charges balance?

    It is Ag2O so

    2Ag2O ---> 4Ag + O2
