If I have a temporary licence in Ohio, when I move to Lubbock, TX can I just get it switched over to a Texas temporary liscence?
I currently live in Ohio and will be getting my temps in May. I can do driving school in either place, but I would like to know, if I get my "temps" in May when I can, when I move to Lubbock, TX will it count and just be switched to a texas liscence? Can I just get it switched over? I know you need drivers ed before you get your temps in TX as i am from there, but should I do drivers ed here and get my temps? I want to drive ASAP, I am just worried if i spend all that time and money here, if it will not just be wiped away to start again. I already have my car!!

No. Driver's licenses and permits are not transferable from state to state. You will have to start the permit process from the beginning under Texas policies and procedures.
