Who is your favorite Van Halen singer: David Lee Roth, Sammy Hagar or Gary Cherone?

    Dave Lee Roth was great for the "man let's get some chicks in and have a party!" era of Van Halen. He wasn't that good live.

    Sammy Hagar was a good songwriter and nearly always delivered the goods live.

    Gary Cherone just wasn't right for Van Halen.

    PS. Getting rid of Michael Anthony for Wolfgang Van Halen SUCKED.

    Cherone was terrible - I like songs by Roth and Hagar

    Mat Monro . He sang from Russia with love and other great songs. He led an interesting life too. look him up on U-tube
