    moles KI = 7.92 g x 1 mol/166 g = 0.0477 moles KI

    moles H2O = 0.400L x 1000ml/L x 1g/ml x 1 mol/18g = 22.22 moles H2O

    total moles present = 22.22 + 0.0477 = 22.27

    mole fraction KI = 0.0477/22.27 = 0.002

    mole fraction H2O = 22.22/22.27 = 0.989

    mass percent KI = mass KI/total mass (x100) = 7.92 g/407.92 (x100) = 1.94%

    mass percent H2O = 100 - 1.94 = 98.06%
