How long do you think it takes a Boxer to recover after a fight?
I know boxers train for about 8-12 weeks before a fight. After a fight how long do you think it takes them to recover before training again?

If the fight does not last more than 10 rounds and ends in a decision and a boxer does not sustain any major injury as cuts or broken bone, he can recover in about a month or two. But if a boxer is knocked out or stopped with some injuries, it will take a minimum of three months for him to fully recover subject still to medical clearance for him to resume fighting.

that depends, how many rounds and how tough a fight?
Normally you can get back into the gym in a couple of days. We used to fight once a week or two times a month, the longer fights would be once a month.
Meaning if you fought 8 to 10 rounds once a month is about right, and 4 to 6 round fights you can be ready in a couple of weeks.
However, if you were beaten up, you will need to recover, so it is a personal thing.

The fighter doesn't take long, but hesitates because of negotiations, sites, opponents purse settlement from previous fight and some cases PPV revenues. In the old days fighter's could fight 3 times a week. Now with taxes, etc. twice a year is more like it.

Depends how severe the damages are. Any broken bones will take 2 months just to heal, n more months to rehabilitate n strengthen back up to normal shape n form.
Boxing n sports is reserved only for a certain type.

Do they ever really recover? Maybe enough to get back in the ring again, but does the brain ever fully recover from the constant pounding and beating it gets during a bout? Ask Muhameed Ali?
