Emotional numbness?
I can feel all of my emotions normally like I should. Only when I have a crush on someone, it's not all there. I also went through some bad stuff with my birth mother that a normal person should have been upset about. I didn't feel anything towards it and I didn't care, but I think about it a lot at the same time. I cried because I was afraid of not feeling anything. I'm still afraid and I don't know why I cried the first time, I didn't feel like I needed to. I'm honestly in fear for my emotions. I don't want to go and talk about it with someone face to face right now so, any ideas?

When people go through emotional traumas that is hard for people in general to deal with the brain try's to protect yourself from what has happened sometimes it's big like a family member passing away or maybe a fight between a friend anything can lead to this point where your body emotional system is stopping you from feeling because it will hurt and sometimes even if the emotion is good you body will protect you because what is good now may not be later. I honestly am not sure how to get yourself to feel for people again... I have heard things like falling it love, making memories good ones can make you feel again but it's all just rumors.. When I feel lose of control or no emotion which happens quite often for me I take a minute process take a breath and when I can't come up with an emotion I fake it and fake it some more because it's the only way to get through. But your not alone and it will get better..
