Another Harry Potter question?

If Harry had escaped from Hogwarts in his fifth year, to a place where no one in Britain will be able to find him, how would Dumbledore and the members of the Order of the Phoenix react, and what would they do?

I think they would be worried, because they are Harry's family in everyway but blood. I think Lupin, Moody, and Sirius would do their best to look for him and Dumbledore would send out owls to every corner of the world to look for him. Hermione and Ron, and possibly Ginny would go looking for him (the twins as well), and get into some hijinks since the twins would be the only 2 of the five who can legally do magic outside of Hogwarts. Hermione would scour every book she could find about hidden caverns, caves, and look for a way to find Harry in his past letters to Ron, and herself: i.e. did he mention a favorite place to go? Did he mention places he would want to travel to? Did he mention future plans for travel, like if he couldn't do magic where would he go? I think she would be the most worried, besides Mrs. Weasley, Ron, Ginny, and Sirius, because she sees herself as his sister and if you have siblings you know how worried they get if you don't get home on time, don't call on regular basis, and if they are an older sibling, they still treat you like the 'baby' of the family. I think Hermione is the most protective of Harry in that way, because she is a few months older, and because she plays the sister role in his life (like in the third book when she thinks that the Firebolt is from Sirius and he means him harm, etc)

So now I'm curious: is this for a fanfiction? I'd love to read it if so. Email is ambrobst @ yahoo.

They'd simply wait him out, because he's still underage. That means he still has the trace on him, which means that once he lets a little magic fly (even by accident) the ministry will know where he is right away.

They would be worried, obviously, and desperate to find him so he would be safe, so it might be difficult to sit and do nothing while they wait for him to need to illuminate his wand or something.

He would still have the trace on him, so they would be able to track him down. But if he didn't, I'm sure they would play it off and work on finding him, but inside they would be hiding the panic.

So far as I recall, Harry is there by choice. What is there to escape from?
