How to protect cell in excel?

I put a password and locked cells. However, they can be selected and changed when opened in google docs.

I do not want them to be able to be edited. Is there a way to defend this entry point?

    If by chance you don't want *any* content to be edited, consider publishing a PDF or XPS copy, rather than posting the Excel workbook itself.
