Is 2001: A Space Odyssey playing in theaters in the United States?

If yes, which theaters and how much would tickets be? And when? Thank you!

    There was a showing in December 2012, at the Lincoln Center New York. And another in Queens NY, on July 2014. (in 70mm, yeah!)

    There are showings in 2014 in Europe for the 46th anniversary, but not in the US. I guess we'll have to wait for the 50th anniversary?

    .... wait ... wait ... I found a showing in Toronto, Canada, 70 mm -- now through January 25th at the TIFF Bell Lightbox. Tickets are $16 (Canadian).

    I would love to see the movie remastered into 3D. If any movie would look fantastic in 3D, it would be "2001: A Space Odyssey".

    Not likely, the movie was released in 1968.
