"Enhanced" interrogation should only be done when there is a critical threat to America and then when there is credible evidence that the prisoner has information to curtail that threat... like there was after 9/11.

Some Republicans do. John McCain just gave a very good speech on that subject. One thing I have noticed about many if not most Republican leaders is that they have to experience something on a personal level before they can understand it. McCain was personally tortured. So, he can understand why torture does not work and why it is so wrong. Dick Cheney has a daughter who is gay. So, he understands the need for gay rights. I could give other such examples.

My question is: Why do Republicans have no empathy until they have a personal experience? Maybe, if more of them became poverty stricken, they would have empathy for the poor. Or, if they could experience life as a black man, they could understand the difference in the way police often interact with black men as compared to white men or women!

There is a dirty underbelly that "civilized people" don't want to see or hear about and that is why we have a CIA and other "black op" orgs. I say for every head cut off we cut some of our own... if you don't like it don't watch it on YouTube.

Nope. They have turned us into a nation of torturers, and they don't give a sh!t what it means to our sailors, solders and Marines in the field.

    Yeah I'm Pro-Torture for terrorists.

I'm sure some do, and some don't. I'm not an idiot that tries to generalize and stereotype as you are apparently looking for.

I wish they would have brought in their families to imply some truth telling on their part. I have no feelings of regret and I don't think they went far enough.

I think America should torture the sh!t out of terrorists to get whatever information they have, and then execute them.
