Can you be in love with more than one person at the same time?

It's quite possible for people to fall in love with more than one person at the same time, and in fact it happens all of the time.

There are different kinds of love and attraction, but each one is not limited to a single person. You can love more than one friend. You can love more than one family member. You can be sexually attracted to more than one person at the same time. You can be romantically attracted to and in love with more than one person at the same time.

When it comes to all things sexual and romantic it can be quite confusing to many people when they become attracted to more than one person at the same time. There are many stories written about love and lust triangles. People who yearn for two or more people and find their hearts town in pieces because they can't choose who to love.

Some people who find themselves in this sort of situation have done different things and have had different results.

Some people have open relationships and will be with every person they find themselves attracted to.

Some will remain monogamous and stay with either the person they are currently with or will end that relationship to pursue one with the person they have the stronger feelings for.

Some will stay with their current partner while seeing the others behind their current partners back, basically pretending to be in a monogamous relationship while cheating on them.

Things tend to work out better if everyone is on the same page. Having someone who is non-monogamous dating someone who is monogamous is a recipe for disaster unless the person who is monogamous can accept that their partner has other lovers. Not everyone is compatible though many people will be selfish and date someone they are not compatible with knowing full well that they are eventually going to end up hurting the other person.

I think a lot of people get love confused with being infatuated with a person. I don't really feel like you can be in love with more than one person because the love will never be equal...I think you will love both differently or for different reasons but one will always be on top.

People would think it's impossible, but you actually can be. Because I am, it's funny the way love works.
