Stock market : Is it possibly to hide your investment from public attention ?

There are banks that provide secret account where your activities are not published to the public so that people dont know the amount of your money in the bank account. So Im just wondering, is it possible to do the same thing at the stock market ?

Update:

*I wasnt hoping to avoid tax. I will pay the tax if I have to. It's just that, for privacy and safety reason, I dont want my investment/wealth to be exposed to the public.

Your basic premise is wrong. Brokerage accounts are not "published to the public." Neither are your bank accounts. Sounds like what you're really asking about is tax avoidance.
