I believe vegans hate meat eaters , is this true?

I believe that statement is true of some vegans but not all , some vegans think their way is the only way .

I don't hate meat eaters. Most vegans used to be meat eaters so its a bit hypocritical.

Some vegans are extremely angry, and rightly so, about cruelty in the meat industry. its horrific, and they can lose perspective and start feeling that rage for people eating meat too. That is taking it too far. At the same time, as you can see from these answers, meat eaters taunt and belittle vegans which just adds to the problem.

I say the squabbling needs to end so that the animal cruelty can actually be addressed. No-one wants animals tortured no matter what their diet and that is what the situation is. Speak out against the cruelty, not each other.

It may be true for some vegans, but only the ones who are intolerant of other people's lifestyles. I'm a vegan and I honestly don't use someone's diet to determine how much I like them. Other people have different lifestyles to me and I accept that. I always will.

If I hated those who eat meat, I would also be very lonely; I think everyone in my family eats meat, aswell as almost every person I know at my school. Hating everyone who eats meat would mean I could only be friends with veg*ns. What people eat really doesn't cross my mind. I understand that some vegans can be rather intolerant of those who eat meat but I really don't dislike anybody, as long as they treat me right. I hope my answer helped, anyway.

That is a broad statement with little or no basis in fact. The truth is, using this forum as a resource, there are some that do and some that do not. It also appears that there are some meat eaters that hate vegans and some that do not using the same source.

A simple answer is....some do, some do not, so it is not true.

I'd hope not. I'm a vegetarian and all of my friends and family eat meat (I don't like using the term 'meat-eater' I find it very impolite and rather rude.) Anyways, I still love my family and friends very much even though they eat meat. I respect their lifestyle, as I once use to eat meat as well. I can't see why vegans/vegetarians should hate others who aren't in on their diet; there are many, many amazing people out there who eat meat and do not deserve to be hated by anyone! :)

As many put it here, generally people do not care about what others eat. But a vegetarian or vegan may tend to hate meat-eaters, because he (vegtn. or vegan) sees them as people who has no compassion to other living beings.

Haters are haters, regardless of what they eat.

Some vegans believe it is immoral to eat meat. Some meat eaters get tired of extreme vegans getting in their face. I can see both sides as understandable.

That might apply to a small sub group of vegans. I've met some who honestly don't care what others eat, in so long as they're not being ridiculed. I've come across some here on Yahoo Answers, who come across as not caring what I eat, as long as I return the respect, they give me. They don't try to convert me to something I don't believe in, and I do the the same in return. I don't accept, or believe that a small group is representative of all, and that stands in any area. However I also ascribe with that small group of vegans, the need to come of as being superior, in whatever facet they deem. So I won't be found of wont to call what they display as hatred.

I don't hate anybody. So it's not true as a general statement, since there's at least one vegan who doesn't hate meat eaters.

i'm not sure they "hate meat eaters", because lions and tigers and wolves eat meat. but i would say that vegans seem to make duck and chickens and cows and frogs equal to human beings. which is very bad, because duck and chickens and cows and frogs are lesser animals. we have eaten them practically since the beginning of human history. in my opinion, vegans can be nice people, but some vegans are terrorists. like some people who claim to belong to PETA, are terrorists. Those people are bad. It's a shame that some people who wear "PETA" hats are terrorists.
