She certainly is on the right track with things and is executing kata at a very high level. Some of her techniques need to be cleaned up just a little. In Empi her thumbs sometimes are not closed as well when punching as they could be and she also needs to think herself six inches deep into the floor on some parts like when she does the turn and jump in midair and then lands.
In Kanku dai she really makes a lot of little mistakes in her execution that if she cleans up then she will really have a very good kata. She does not hold her balance on her kicks quite long enough and so she has to rush bringing them back and at one point she even loses her balance towards the end and is literally falling into the next stance. Also in her back stances her front foot is not ninety degrees in relation to her back foot but instead often something less. If I can notice it from the side then you can bet a decent judge who knows and judges kata can clearly see it when she is facing them and executing that stance. Have her hold her balance a fraction longer rather than rushing into or falling into that next stance and show that she is putting her foot down rather than falling into it. Get that front foot straight on the back stances and fix those kicks to either side that she also rushes the execution on and has poor foot and ankle position on and then that kata will be several times better. I won a lot doing a version of this kata in NASKA when I competed in Senior and Executive Mens Black-belt and its a good kata for a traditional martial artist like herself to do if she can clean those points up that I mention.

I'd feel bad nitpicking on a 6 year old's techniques, especially one with impressive talent like hers, but regardless of any nitpicks, if she keeps up with that, no doubt it'll translate into remarkable skill when she grows up.
For someone who's only been alive for 6 years, she has made it quite far in her practice. I hope she doesn't loose interest in the art. It can be hard on kids to keep practicing when they don't see where else to go with it. Most end up getting bored, unfortunately. At one point there just isn't much they can do until they mature more. Patience is hardly a kid's strong suit.

Yeah I don't know the style but I will say she looked really fluid, her kicks at 6yrs looked great, same with her stances, I was amazed at how fluid she is at the age of 6... not only did she root her self well, but better then I have seen grown folks do it some times... I get amazed when kids can learn these skills and know it as kid.. remember kid always have balance problems, but kids do learn things faster but balance is never fully developed in till older years.. she can become a great martial artist if she keep it up...

That was posibly the best demonstration of those forms I have seen in many years. I think on reflecting on it for a while that I hope she does not burn out or lose intrest as she gets older. I hope she will persue this for a lifetime . She seems to have a natural talent for it. I have had only two students coming close at that age. One stopped at arround 14 years old for health reasons the other arround 16 for lack of intrest in continuing. Girls and sports took over LOL Thanks for asking this has made my gloomy morning.

I can't help but to wonder how much of this does she understand. I don't think it is very much. I don't think he technique was that good. I do not believe she should have the rank displayed and the kata was too advanced for her ability and motor skills. Her balance was not there, but that is kind of expected for her age. IMO
The potential is there if she continues to train.
