I am all these in no particular order and all at once. Some of these I am fairly good at others need improvement. I won't say which cause they change from time to time. What is wrong with this?
Student in B J J class has arm broken by master. The student was pinned and trying to tap out. The student's upper arm (Humerus) was broken. The student is medium build and very fit. He is one of my students. He decided to cross train at the B J J school because he wanted to compete pro for a while. He is around 22 years old and has been training with us for several years. Has always been a good student

Would you risk your life, your fortune, your future to still teach?
The history of the arts most of us teach is filled with that very example. The principle that people have the right to defend themselves is as old as history can be recorded. Weather Celtic arts, of Korean arts, allover the world the story of martial arts is filled with this example. What are your thoughts?

On receiving my first black belt it was customary to sign a pledge to uphold he honor of the school and to never engage the use of force to do other than defense of myself others or my country. to conduct myself in a manner to bring honor to the art and the school. How do you feel about this requirement?

There is real relentless pressure to water down your training. People do not seem to want to work to get a black belt anymore.They don't even want to take make up classes for the lessons they miss and when you pass them over for promotion they go to the school down the street and bad mouth you.

This is primarily a question for instructors or concerned parents, senior students. Many of our youth today are not exposed to the opportunity to interact with their real environment. I believe this inhibits their ability over time to develop good problem solving skills. I think they need to learn how to get by in the real world and are not afforded that opportunity.
Should we provide some outdoor skills and challenging outdoor experiences?
