Can your answers account get banned for getting flagged repeatedly?

Or do they just keep taking your posts down? Seems like there's a lot of people who constantly troll the site without consequence

    Yes and No.

There are accounts which have been posting violations repeatedly for years on end and they are still around. Then on the other hand there are people who post a couple of violations (or even just one) and that's enough for their account to go walkies.

It all depends on who seems the content ie

    - is it a trusted reporter only and in which case it will likely be just violations

    - if that reporter also emails the Yahoo Answers Team about the repeated violations and if YAT do something about it

It's a bit of a lottery and therefore if it's an account you value then it's not worth taking the risk.

Yes and despite what users of this category say, people get followed around and reported unfairly until they are booted off, or reported for very minor "violations" which everyone should overlook.
