No data connection on new phone ???

I just paid for this thing and its a family plan, the plan has 4gb of data yet my phone will not connect to any form of data, no 3G 4g 2g nothing

I'm fumed because its paid for and should be working but won't

It sends normal messages but nothing like mms

Will not allow Internet

Please help me

Already rebooted my phone and all that fun stuff

    I'm sure there's more than a couple ways for that to happen.

    For example, if by chance what's happened is that you started on this family plan with a different phone, that you are now replacing with a new one, then it may be that your new phone requires the carrier to reconfigure the data plan for your line before your internet will work. This could happen if for example your old phone was an android and your new phone was an iphone, or vice versa. You would need to call your carrier and tell them what kind of phone you're using now.

    Aside from that I would just go through the carrier's online suggestions for phone settings related to data service
