Are actors/actresses allowed to lie about the script in their contract?
So I ve been watching a few interviews of actors and actresses on tv and I ve noticed that a few people have misguided the fans of the series. For example there s one show I watch and there s a very obvious hint about something, which has created a lot of controversy. However I looked a few interviews and the actors said that this wasn t true, and that the hints meant "nothing". I m just curious as to whether or not an actor or actress is allowed to guide people away from assumptions because a lot of people are starting to notice the hints too. I was almost are about this event that would happen in the series but the actor turned it down, however he sounded slightly sarcastic. Nothing against actors, just wondering if the hint might be true and the actor is simply told to redirect the people away from our guess.
Thanks xx

Most actors aren't allowed to give away anything, they are allowed to lie, mislead, or completely mess people up by 'hinting' at things that won't ever happen.
It depends on the actor, or actress if they will just avoid answering, or completely misdirect people.
