Contrary to popular belief there are MANY people looking for work. The big cities have MORE jobs. They also have more job applicants.
It is not EASY getting a job anywhere. While you search for work you are expected to look after yourself paying rent and food and so on.
Suggest you start with online job searches and come out to the West when you have some interviews lined up. You move your STUFF after you find a job.
Starting wages are in the $10-15/hr range. RENT can be over $1000/month IF you can find a place.
If you are unskilled you will not have an easy time. Get some work skill experience first and have a few thousand in your pocket before coming out.
Sorry ANY job has TOO many applicants.
