There is something about Manny that scares Floyd, why I don't know, but obviously Mayweather doesn't want a Pacquiao fight.

ESPN is reporting that the Pacquiao camp is doing all it can to secure the fight, but is not getting anywhere with Mayweather. While Freddie Roach is keen to make the fight, and has been optimistic of late, that optimism appears to be crumbling. Roach has indicated that the negotiations have again hit bizarre roadblocks as Mayweather is making unreasonable demands like Arum not taking part and a few others that suggest that he is digging for excuses. The Abu Dhabi offer is still on the table, and with MGM Grand apparently Mayweather’s choice for venue, there is building tension. With so much money on the table, patience even within the Mayweather camp is growing thin.
It is clear that something is going on with Mayweather. Rarely with this kind of money on the table do negotiations drag on year-after-year like this. While boxing as a business is rough and tumble, eventually money wins out and principals find a way forward. This particular fight, however, is anything but normal. There are so many vested interests in this one that streamlining the negotiations has been difficult. With Les Moonves admitting that he is, indeed, in contact with the Mayweather camp trying to prod the way forward, it has become clear that Mayweather himself is stalling.

Naw. I honestly think the Pacquiao fight wouldn't be much of a challenge. Pac is not only significantly smaller but his reckless style is tailor made for a counterpuncher like Floyd, which is exactly why Marquez is always able to give him so many problems. I'm not much of a betting man, but if that fight ever happens im gonna put at least $2,000 on Mayweather to win. Mayweather just shouldn't fight middleweights like Golovkin.

False. To be self proclaimed the best ever, he has to take this fight. Win or lose, it doesn't matter. At least put up a good fight n win the respect of people.

to retire with zero loses wont amount to anything if he doesnt fight pacquiao. his continued reluctance to fight pacquiao WILL affect his reputation after he retires. if he accepts the fight and wins, then that legacy is secured. if he fights and loses then he still remains first ballot and a unanimous hall of famer. avoiding this fight will forever haunt floyd because manny never ceased to challenge him. he might retire with a perfect record but the voters in the hall of fame will not be that impressed.

False: If he fights Manny and lose his boxing legacy will still roar and will be remembered as a true champ. His zero lose legacy is not that much important.

true...................To me it's all BS. He'll find some cold body to raise his 0 to 48-0. IMO, he'll never risk that against Pac. I may be wrong.

that seems to be the reason Mayweather has refused this fight for many years.
