U.S. Skins VS. U.K. Skins?

I'm literally about to watch the first episode of skins, and idk if I should watch the American or the British one.. I keep hearing that the British one is better, but I'm afraid if I watch the British one, I wouldn't really "follow" it (I'm American). People say the British is better, but idk. What do you guys think?

    I'm American and I've watched the British version. It wasn't hard at all to follow the show. The terms they used weren't really that hard to understand.

    I'm British and I agree with Rachel, go totally with the British version.

    Go with the American version, on principle.

    The US one was really awful and it only lasted one season anyway.

    British version is much better.
