Looking for a good kitchen knife set?
I am really getting into cooking since getting out on my own. I love all the ideas I am coming up with and things I am trying but keep on running into the same problem...I need a good knife set. I was wondering if anybody can help me with a few suggestions in the price range of $100-200. I mean I have gotten my mom sets from stores for $60-80 but nothing really stays sharp or lasts...Chicago Cutlery was the last one I think...Any suggested favorite knife companies within my price range?

I really like Chicago Cutlery knives. Not only do they look high quality they are extremely sharp and last forever. Can find a nice set on Amazon from 99-149 dollars.

CutCo Knives are legit. My grandmother bought her set when she was in her 20s over 50 years ago and these 50 year old knives are still better then any other knives I've used. They are expensive no doubting that but if you're serious about purchasing a quality set of knives that will last nearly forever I would recommend CutCo

Definitely agree with the CUTCO comment. Cutco has a forever guarantee and yes expensive but you can set up payments if need be. Also the prices vary. If you want to learn a lot more about it, you can email chamberse@uindy.edu
