Painful throat, what do I have?

What is wrong with my tonsils, they're swollen, red, I have white stuff coming out of my them sometimes. I have white spots at the very back of my throat which is all lumpy. It's very painful, does anyone know what could this be? I have had tonsillitis once before and it doesn't seem the same. I have been to the doctors about this previously and they say I just have to let it run it's course but it just seems ongoing have had for years now, not ever this bad though. It's very saw and painful :(

sounds like a bacterial infection and that would require antibiotics. The above tips will help;as well as, gargling salt water.

Sounds like strep. A mixture of Honey, Vinegar, and Cayenne is useful for me.

You do need to go to the doctor. They are reluctant to give antibiotics, but you sound in quite a bad way, so I would go.
