In short yes and also no. Sometimes corporations will pay for potential employees to relocate and sometimes they will not. It depends on the corporation in question, a particular corporation may decide to cover the cost of someone moving to another state but then again another corporation may decide not to do so.

For professionals, this is normal and part of your hiring negotiations.
If you work as a TV salesperson for best buy, no. Now, a best buy manager might be asked to move to Timbuktu to set up a new store district and best buy will pay his way.

Occasionally, provided you have a hard-to-find skill that they can't find locally, they might be willing to pay relocation expenses. This is most common with large companies.
