Why do people love Hunter x Hunter so much?

Hunter x Hunter 2011:

Its a shounen, but its the best shounen type anime out there because its not just overpowered characters coming from no where facing the protagonist(s), there are back stories. IT MAY SEEM CHILDISH AT FIRST, but the battles are psychological as well as the storyline. There are no fillers because its a remake (like FMA:brotherhood), and the writing gets really good especially if ur into the series.

I personally like character progression and seeing the main character(s) gradually become badasses while every other characters like supporting allies and villains show badass powers (it gives u an idea of how strong the 2 MCs will be bc the MCs will always be the strongest at the end of the anime). I know its an anime, but the powers that are created are logical, creative, and balanced.

Hunter x Hunter (2011) is not hunting animals and collecting reward, although they can do that lol, but they use the broader version of the word “hunt”, which can be applied to anything meaning a “Hunter” has a goal and does whatever it takes to achieve that goal with his or her’s skillset. Being a hunter in this world is everything, and only the fittest and/or smartest ppl can be one. The show has 4 main characters, but focused on two kids that are badasses, and both are considered geniuses blessed with immense talent.

The hunter exams are tough and gruesome. And if ur like me who would imagine taking the test in real life, you probably would not pass the 1st exam and most likely get killed in the 2nd lol. The mortality rate for this exam is beyond crazy that’s whats made this show interesting in the beginning, and what’s funny is that the 2 main kids sees the exams as fun obstacles or not challenging enough lol. While the adults are either failing or dying one-by-one lol.

You’ll find a lot of characters in here (especially strong ones) that psychoanalyze everything like in death note. After watching this show I can think up to 6-7 characters that are on the same intelligent level as with L and Light, and if ur an anime fan, u know how beastly Death Note was.

It starts getting interesting when the Hunter Exams starts (Ep 3).

I m not an anime addict but when I begin watching Hunter X Hunter, I already become one :) and I really loved it! I even downloaded the 1999 series composing of 92 episodes after watching the 2011 series (148 episodes if I m not mistaken.) and I was really amazed by the plot and especially by the characters Gon, Killua, Kurapika and Leorio. It is not only about fighting unlike others, it is also about friendship that s why I can say that HxH really touched my heart <3

It's a classic shounen anime that features a special and intuitive main character that gets stronger as he progresses through his journey(which gets pretty ******* awesome later).
