what should i reply to a stranger on facebook?

a stranger is messaging me on facebook, i asked him how do he know me, he replied he saw my profile and messaged.i have no idea what profile he mean.. but it seems like he is from my same college but i am not sure. he casually asking me about my education now, i want to know who he is, what should i reply to him?

    He saw your Facebook profile and he likes you.

    Be wary, especially if you have no mutual friends. There is nothing to say his profile is real, or that he is who he says he is. I wouldn't reply at all.

    Just keep saying you don't know him. Or you could block him.
