I'm pagan and have been researching a bit, what do Christians believe EXACTLY? Don't really know how to word this question😁

No. 1 John 5:8 says, "God is love."

A loving God would not create a place (hell) where the dead suffer eternally. God himself described the burning and torturing of humans as “a thing that I had not commanded and that had not come up into my heart.”—Jeremiah 7:31. God's Word the Bible says: “The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all.” (Ecclesiastes 9:5; Psalm 146:4) Therefore, when we die, we cease to exist. The dead can’t think, act, or feel anything, so when a person dies, nothing survives. Death is like a deep, dreamless sleep.

Hellfire is NOT Christian it's actually a pagan teaching...aren't you pagan?

  • > So if I'm non Christian, I get tortured in hell for eternity?

Yep, that's it. That's God's plan. And because God is infinitely powerful, he could arrange some other outcome for you if he likes, but he picked that one. And because God is good, his choices must also be good. And finally, because God is perfect, he's incapable of error, and his choices are not only good but the best from among all the various shades of good.

So, what Christians believe, whether or not they have the self-insight to examine their own beliefs, is that (a) you're going to this "hell" (eternal, infinite torture) because you don't suck the *** of their "God"; and (b) infinite torture is what you truly deserve for not sucking God's ***.

Wow. You've gotta hand it to those kind, loving, decent Christians, huh? Oh, that reminds me -- they also believe that their "God" is perfectly kind, loving, etc, and only wants the best for you.

They think they're being morally superior by holding this sick mess of beliefs. I'd call it "pathologically delusional."

    Source(s): I am an atheist; i.e., a modern man.

You have to ask some more questions. First, do you reject God? If so, why?

If God is good and righteous judge, then He must punish sinful behavior otherwise evil would be tolerated and he would not be perfect. If he must punish sinful behavior, and we all have sinned, then would he be merciful if he didn't provide a way for that sin to be forgiven? He did provide away, He did the work, He offers the gift of salvation, He requires only belief! Acts 16:31 "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved."

God is not wanting anyone to perish, but he would not be GOd if he tolerated even just one sin without justice. Think of all the injustices in the world, He will sort them out and our only hope is the salvation that comes at the cross.

You really should study yourself, don't listen to everyone? From my studies...I just didn't find you doing that at death. But...much later, a LOT later, there's a judgement? All those not in the book of life are destroyed. Many think no one is saved then, but doesn't seem that way? Maybe google this?😕

That is about the size of it!

If you don't know the correct name of the god then you can't get into the celestial club in the sky and anywhere outside of the celestial, golden gates club is "hell"...

Humanity has been playing that game since humanity began....which includes pagans....

Damned if you do and damned if you don't...so good luck with that!

    Yes.

Mk 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Jn 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 3:17 For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him. 3:18 He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn’t believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God.

Rev 21:8 But for the cowardly, unbelieving, sinners, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their part is in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”

First ask this, "Is God real? Is there any proof of the God of the Bible?"

    The answer is "Yes".

Of course. He sits at the right hand of God the Father and will soon come back and reign for 1000 years on the earth.

Want proof? Read slowly and test everything typed.

    1) Do you acknowledge that Jews exist?

    2) Where did the Jews originate from?

    3) What foreshadowings/fulfilled prophecies do you know about?

Do you know that the Jewish Bible (Tanakh) is actually the Old Testament in the Holy Bible?

The Old Testament books were written hundreds of years apart from the coming of Jesus.

So the Jews are people who have descended from Judah one of the twelve tribes of Israel. Genesis 29:35 She conceived again, and when she gave birth to a son she said, “This time I will praise the LORD.” So she named him Judah. Then she stopped having children. NIV

Fulfilled prophecy is the biggest reason I am a believer.

God gave the world proof through fulfilled prophecy.

Prophecy is stating what will happen in the future and then having it happen.

King David descended from the tribe of Judah. The Messiah is to be a descendant of the tribe of Judah. The Messiah was to be born in Bethlehem. The Messiah was to come out of Egypt. The Messiah was to be born of a virgin. The Messiah was to have his clothing go to those who cast lots for them. All of this was fulfilled by Jesus. No one else has fulfilled the prophecy of the Tanakh. These prophecies were given hundreds of years before the coming of Jesus. And they all happened!

The Bible ACCURATELY foreshadows Jesus in the following ways:

The Passover lamb died on the 14th of Nisan. Its' blood was placed on the door frames of the Israelites homes to protect the Israelites from the angel of death and the plague of the first born males. Those that had faith that the blood of the lamb would save them (the Israelites) were protected from physical death. The Egyptians, who did not have faith in the blood, died. No bones were to be broken on the Passover lamb.

Jesus, the true Passover Lamb, died on the 14th of Nisan. Those who have faith in the blood of Jesus to save them will be spared spiritual death. Those who do not believe will suffer eternal torment in the lake of fire. No bones were broken on Jesus.

Many other prophecies/foreshadowings occurred. Jesus is the truth.

John 3:14 Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,

John 3:15 that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

John 3:18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. NIV

Biblical prophecy tells that in the End Times the Jews will finally see that Jesus is the Messiah and repent and He will be their Lord and Savior.

Look at the genealogy from Adam to Noah.

God always rewards the diligent student. In our Bible, we read the Hebrew names. What do these names mean in English?

    The Composite List

Now let's put it all together:

    Hebrew--English

    Adam-----------Man

    Seth-------------Appointed

    Enosh-----------Mortal

    Kenan------------Sorrow;

    Mahalalel-----------The Blessed God

    Jared-----------------Shall come down

    Enoch-----------------Teaching

    Methuselah-------------His death shall bring

    Lamech-------------------The Despairing

    Noah------------------------Rest, or comfort.

    That's rather remarkable:

Man (is) appointed mortal sorrow; (but) the Blessed God shall come down teaching (that) His death shall bring (the) despairing rest.

Come to God through the truth. Jesus is the truth. Jesus is the Blessed God, the Son of God.

If you don't, yes you'll go to the lake of fiery torment. Why? If you want nothing to do with God, you'll get what you want.

Everything good comes from God. Without God, there is no good.

    God Bless

What we know is that every human being born into this world is born ALREADY spiritually dead in our trespasses and sins through the Adamic sin nature of Adam. We are born cut off from God spiritually as Adam was and therefore have no communication from birth with our Maker and need to be reconciled to God. We are born into Satan's kingdom of darkness and on our way to hell ALREADY - right from birth.

So you are no different from the rest of us except that I have done something about that and changed it and therefore my destiny is not to be tortured in eternity but to have everlasting life with the Lord God and Jesus Christ in eternity with absolute peace, no more pain or crying or tears, and what amounts to utopia.

So make your choice now while you still have time, as I have done then you won't be tortured in hell for eternity. If you do nothing of course then you will.

The alternative is to accept Christ as your Saviour, repent of your sins, and be born again as He commanded (John 3:3) of water and Spirit in order to enter God's kingdom of heaven.

    HOW?

With a repentant heart and sorrow for your sins, be water baptized by full immersion in the NAme of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and follow JEsus. (Matthew 28:19).

Then Jesus will wash you from your sins in His own blood (Revelation 1:5) and your old man - which is your old Adamic sin nature,(Romans 6:6) God will crucify with Christ during your baptism into His death and burial (Romans 6: 3 & 4) and reconcile you to God through Christ's death and God will then deliver you OUT OF Satan's kingdom of darkness which you were born into through Adam, and translate you INTO the kingdom of God's dear Son (Colossians 1:13).

Then you will be saved, because Peter said, "Repent and be baptized every one of you for the remission of your sins...."

Jesus said, "He who believes and is baptized shall be saved" (Mark 16:16).

Paul said, "If any man believes NOT in Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha" which means in regular English, if anyone doesn't believe in the Saviour Jesus Christ, that man cannot be saved so let him be accursed when Christ comes - that is literally what that means (1 Corinthians 16:22)

If you don't believe in Jesus you are condemned already because you have not believed in the Name of the only begotten Son of God (John 3:18)

There's a lot more to it than that of course but if you need more information you can contact me or let me know in the comment section and I will add to my answer.

In case you are not serious in the first place, I won't bother writing anymore.

God tells us plainly that there is no life apart from Him. So to reject God is to reject life itself. We don't know what it means to reject life. We don't know whether the spirit is eternal or not.

Pagans also have the right to enter heaven. This is Scriptural.
