All fighters want a rematch clause on their contract because of their uncertainty of winning. Anybody who said that it is a walk in the ball park for a certain fighter against another one is out of his mind. They're in their full confidence because they were not the one fighting.

Floyd had that rematch clause in recent ONLY against Maidana! The other was with the Dela Hoya fight although he did not exercise it..Dang! that was 8 years ago.And i cant consider it recent.

Eh? Rematch clauses are pretty standard practice when title belts are on the line. It's perfectly normal.

If it's a beautiful payday ,he would like to repeat it without the jeopardy of having legal road blocks. Who knows ,it could be the first match of a classic trilogy.

I'm not suprised that he asked for a rematch claude because he does it all the time. He had one for Guerrero, Canelo, Mosley, Maidana, e.t.c. He is just trying to redeem himself before he retire.

It's just a standard negotiation. Nothing special about that. I expected it and it should be part of the contract.
