how much it is hard to talk Wisely, while nobody listening?

This happens frequently for me....EXAMPLE

My wife is a student....I tell her to prepare everything before going to bed at night....she never does it and then is in a panic every morning....and always forget something or risks her life racing to school late

How do I feel.....frustrated

But this is nothing new in the world.... philosophers have complained about it for centuries....there is even a proverb about "casting pearls before swine"

People who talk when nobody is listening are not the type of people to talk wisely.

I don't know about the wisely part but what piss's me off is when I'm talking to someone and they get that far away look on their face. Sometimes I say something like "did your mother die" or something like that to bring them back to earth.
