Good low salt/no salt alternative to mustard on a sandwich?

I'm trying to cut down on sodium. My favorite condiment is mustard, but it has a lot of salt.

I tried a no sodium honey mustard, but I don't like it at all.

Are there any low or no salt mustards or mustard alternatives out there?

There are plenty of low sodium mustard available, as well as other condiments. Use this link:

Watch out for sodium in the meats you include on your sandwich and always read the nutritional values.

Well the mustard I use is quite low sodium and is available on any grocery store shelf where I live. Not knowing where you are from it is hard to say if it is available but most of the mustard's I use do not have significant amounts of sodium when compared to other products used in a sandwich. I am not sure what you consider to be "a lot of salt" but there is a lot more in prepared meats for example than in any mustard I have seen. One suggestion....if you like roast beef cook a small roast and slice it for your sandwich. That is what my mom did so there was little sodium in it.

Cut your sodium somewhere else and use real mustard.

I understand trying to be healthier but in the grand scheme of things, the salt in a teaspoon of mustard isn't that much and you can cut back elsewhere.

don't eat ham, canned soups, canned pastas and canned or packaged gravies. NO coldcuts, pickles or salty snack foods. No boxed mac and cheese or other boxed sides and entrees.

Make all your foods with fresh/frozen veggies and meats. That dab of mustard won't matter then.

Consider eating a "real whole food" diet instead of an ultra-processed/prepackaged food diet and then you will be looking for ways to ADD sodium to your diet just to get into a healthy 750-1500mg sodium range.
