I need someone correct this sentence grammatically and vocabulary.. My native language is not English?

I m like the arrow in the bow, I need the hard events pull me to backward in order to launch forward strongly.

    I am the arrow in the bow. I need the hard events to pull me back, so i can launch forward with more strength.

    I corrected and added a little bit more flare but I'm a physics major not and english major haha.
